Jon C. Spurr Attorney At Law

Jon was born in Terre Haute, Indiana.  He grew up in Clinton, Indiana and went to South Vermillion High School where he lettered in Football and Wrestling and graduated in the top 10% of his class.  

He went to Indiana University for college and majored in Criminal Justice.  While at IU Jon attended the IUPD summer academy program and became a licensed police officer at the age of 20.  He worked for IUPD for two years and then was hired by the Bloomington Police Department.  There he worked the night shift while finishing up college in the daytime.

In 1995 he married his wonderful wife Jo Ann and began applying for law school. In 1998, Jon, now a licensed attorney, moved back to Clinton, Indiana and opened his law practice in a tiny building on 3rd Street in Terre Haute. 

Today Jon has a thriving law practice focused on Family Law including divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, guardianships, adoption, estate planning, probate, wills, trusts and bankruptcy.  Jon serves as the County Attorney for Vermillion County and as the Chief of Reserves for the Vermillion County Sheriff’s Office.
